6 months

Wow, 6 months with our sweet baby girl have already gone by. Well, almost. Eden will be 6 months old in 4 days.

I just cannot believe it!

She has been changing so much here lately.

She is doing so many new things,
- taking a pacifier AND sucking her thumb (neither of which she did until a couple weeks ago)
- trying to hold her bottle on her own
- likes being on her tummy(didn't like it before)
- sleeping on her tummy
- done with nursing
- riding in the stroller without being in her car seat

and is on the brink of so many others
- sitting on her own (so close, but not quite there yet)
- sleeping without her swaddle ( sleeping with both arms out as I write & hoping to be done with the swaddle next week)
- getting teeth (drooling, chewing and more fussiness and can feel the bumps under her gums)

and all I can say is that she is truly a wonderful little girl! She is so fun to love and be with and I hate to say that there are times that I wish I could just freeze her in this stage forever. She is growing and changing so fast and I tell John how sad I feel that her first birthday will be here before we know it.

But enough with the "Debbie Downer" comments :).

I wanted to share a few pictures I took of her yesterday to capture her wonderful-little-6-month-old-self. I am just so thankful to be the mother of this precious child!

Girls' Weekend

In honor of my Mom's 60th birthday, we had a girls' weekend this past weekend! Bethany kidnapped my mom from work on Friday and met us at the Eagle Ranch lodge.

We started the evening with time with the grandkids. Eden and Benjamin love their Gram!

We hung out, caught up and munched on some yummy snacks. Benjamin had fun taking pictures with my camera, playing photographer. (I won't post all of the pictures he took of crown molding, couch cushions, etc.)

We then had mom open her presents(with some help from Benjamin).

One of Mom's new outfits!

The kiddos were soon picked up by their daddys, so we could enjoy a nice dinner and watch a chick-flick.

The next morning we went out for manis and pedis and had lunch at Aquaterra in Buford!

We had such a great time celebrating with Mom and we are so thankful for the 60 years of life God has blessed her with! Also, thanks to our husbands for giving us the time with the girls!

Such a trooper

We had to take Eden to the doctor last week for her first "sick" visit (if you could call it that). Eden had developed a bad diaper rash, with bleeding, but had not been any more fussy or had difficulty sleeping! She's a trooper. I know I would be upset if I had been in her situation. I think we realized how much she can tolerate! We took her in to see our nurse practitioner, Christy, and she was great! Eden's rash cleared up within 36 hours of the Dr's visit.

We are so thankful to God for Eden's good health, and that this was her first doctor's visit that wasn't a regularly scheduled check-up!
